What is a Doula?
A Doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to their client before, during, and after childbirth to help them achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.

What is a Functional Medicine Doula?
A Functional Medicine Doula is a Doula that provides physical, emotional and informational support to the client based on their individual health goals, medical history, and overall health status throughout pregnancy.
Functional Medicine is a scientific approach to holistic medicine. All Functional Medicine professionals understand the patient's body as a whole, supporting the "building blocks" of optimal health. These fundamentals include:
- Diet and lifestyle coaching based on the patient's lab work, medical history, symptoms and goals
- Recommendation of specific medicinal foods, herbs, supplements, and practices
- Health coaching that encourages detoxification/clean living, grounding, healthy mindset practices, healthy sleep guidance, energy healing, gut health, and more.
